***Attention***
Before joining please keep in mind that Humans is an extremely original roleplay game. It takes a dedicated and often experienced writer to fit in to the plots. We will not turn you away, but do realize we are aimed more towards literate people who enjoy an unusual and challenging roleplay.
As of today (February 16th) we are accepting one or two teenaged humans per account. The older the better, but we'll allow those teenagers, seeing how much everyone loves them
Choosing Characters:
Choosing Characters:
1. When creating characters please make sure to have a couple of each group. The ideal is to have Captor's, Rebellion member's, and slave's NOT all of the same type. We do not want to see six captors and zero slave characters.
2. Animals can be any species, but try to keep away from a gazillion horses, wolves, and the typical rp animals. Nothing too exotic and please, make all the animals real animals that actually exist. So, no dragons or unicorns.
3. Try not to make a character too small like a mouse. Rabbits are one of the smallest animals allowed. You can make large animals like a Giraffe, but let's keep ourselves away from too many of those.
4. There will be a limit for now of 8 of 1 species of animal only. This will keep us away from having a pack of wolves. Please do not create more than one type of animal for the time being. New members will appreciate empty slots for animals like dogs and wild dogs.
Character Rules:
1. No magic. The only thing different about these animals versus real ones is their human qualities. That means they can stand on two legs at will and they talk with equal intelligence as people.
2. No spirits or un-dead creatures. If you die...you die.
3. Be reasonable. If you have a squirrel character and they attack an elephant...be prepared to be squashed.
4. Animals live twice as long. If a dog's lifespan is 15 then it's 30 on here. So, some animals will naturally have a lifespan of only 10 years (rabbit for example)
5. The Character Biographies will stay in the archives for 4 months after a member has gone considerably inactive, has been deleted due to inactivity or has quit, just in the case that they return. 4 months.
Fighting:
1. You can dodge 3 times, 1 time per post, a fight must last at least 6 posts a person.
2. If the winner is unclear I will "pull a name out of a hat". I will not be biased and just choose the winner. Otherwise, the match is a tie.
Breeding:
1. Can happen, but sparingly. Please.
2. Breeding can not be drawn out, nasty, etc.
Birthing
1. I choose the sex of the child. I am not biased at this at all. I use an online "randomizer" for this. I may also give the chance of twins or triplets, but not often as this isn't that common with humans. Animals will be given the opportunity to have multiple children more so than a human, but not normally over 4 kids. (Honestly...what would your character do with 6 kids in a litter??)
2. What does the child look like? The administrators will decide on possible outcomes and such. Once we get the gender off the randomizer site and the number of children, we will write several different possibilities for hair, eye color, etc on the randomizer site and the site will draw them out for us. The characteristics will reflect the parents. Occasionally I will add in a quality neither parent shows, but the chances will be greater that the child(s) appearance will reflect the mom and dad.
3. The above 2 rules can be bent quite easily. If the gender of a child is going to tie into a plot, if I feel really nice, or I am given a very good reason why the above 2 rules should exclude you ...then there could be an exception. This has to come through me first though with a private message. Honestly though, I would want things to come as a surprise like in the real world.
Rules Rules:
1. Refrain from cussing! The occasional cuss word is fine, especially if it reflects the personality of a character, but do not use the f-word...ever. I will get on your case about this big time.
2. Be nice and courteous to other members
3. No power-playing! You can't say things like, “And he died” if it's not your character
4. The minimum amount of words in a post is set to 150. Generally, it is good to aim at 200 for the sake of the one you're Roleplaying with, and there is no maximum amount of words No limit when out of character.
NOTE: If a character's biography sheet is not completed within 2 weeks of its creation, it will be moved to the archives.
Inactivity = Account Deletion
~Due to the moderate amount of people joining and not posting and such we are now enforcing the following rules~
Your account will be deleted if:
1. Your account is not activated in 2 weeks.
2. You join and do not attempt to create a character in 2 weeks.
3. You join and do not attempt to post anything within 2 weeks.
4. You have not logged in and/or posted in a 3 month time period without giving a notice to the Administrators or leave a message in the away area.
5. If 6 months go by with no activity after notifying an Administrator and/or leaving an away message.
The Admin has all rights to delete an account if the person deleted has not benefited the site and is merely adding to the member toll. It is unfair to display a vast number of members if we only have 5, as an example, posting. You have the right to delete your own account and the right to rejoin.[/size]
