“There was – is – an ex-fighter who visits camp from time to time named Lucifer. He talked to me about a sister had had once. He was shot looking for her and I ran into him when he was cleaning out the wound. He has eyes just like yours. I promised him that I'd tell him if I ever met you.” Pasha spoke quickly, as he often did when he got excited.
The rebellion camp was near and he tried to speed up his pace the best he could without hurting Kestrel. He wanted to get back to camp, he needed to get her help. He could feel the blood that ran down her limbs. It was warm and starting to dry. That was a good thing, at least he thought but she needed to see a nurse. She needed help and she needed to see her brother.

Kestrel's heart began to beat faster. She'd met many fighters. Some friendly, some fierce. But no one had eyes like her and her brothers. Through the haze of her pain and blood loss, she began to get excited. It had to be Lucifer! How many fighters named Lucifer had her eyes, anyways? She gritted her teeth as Pashsa sped up. But she would endure if it meant she got to see her brother.
"Tha...that's...that's...my...LuLu...." Kestrel murmured quietly. She closed her eyes, feeling pain and exhaustion was over her. LuLu. An embarassing pet name for a tough fighter like Lucifer.

“I'm not sure if he's in camp right now,” Pasha said not wanting to get her hopes up too much, “He defiantly does do a bit of running around. I know he was here earlier but he might have left again. He will come back though if he really has already left. There is no need to worry about that. He will be very happy to see you I think.” Maybe his words could have been chosen a little better but Pasha wasn't the best with words. He just wanted to make his point clear to her. Part of him hoped that Lucifer wasn't there yet. Pasha knew that if he had ever seen anyone he loved in the same condition as Kestrel was he would be upset. It was probably best if Lu came back after Kestrel had been patched up a bit.
The tall man slowed up a bit as he drew near the camp. “'We're here,” he told her, “We should be able to get you patched up right proper and you'll be as good as new.”

"Mhm..." was the only reply Kestrel could muster. She wanted to be awake. Awake to see everything. The humans running around with no animals giving them orders. The beauty of the forest. Everything. But she simply just clinging to her last bit of strength so she could hold on to Pasha and keep her eyes open. She was scanning the humans for her brother's familiar face. But she didn't see him. Disappointment clawed at her heart, but it kept her awake. Stay awake. Stay awake and you can see LuLu. Her big brother. A person she'd believed dead for who knew how many years of her life. But what if she didn't stay awake that long?
"The...neck...lace." Kestrel said. She winced. "Tell...him...I...lo...lost...it..."

“I'll be sure to tell him,” he told her reassuringly, “But I think it would be best if you stayed awake enough to tell him. You know if he has any questions I won't be able to answer them. Why don't you tell me a little more about this necklace?” He was doing his best to try to keep the girl talking. He wasn't sure he would be able to wake her up if she fell asleep, that was to say if she didn't simply pass out. He didn't really wanted to try to tell what had happened to Lucifer either. That would make for one poor time.
He entered into camp, though it was not very crowded. Desperately he looked for someone who would be able to patch up Kestrel. It seemed like it would be an easy task but it was not as easy as he thought it would have been. He wanted her to keep talking to him but he was not sure what to talk to her about.

"Ma...ma..." Kestrel was trying to concentrate. It was important that she stayed awake. Very important! She might not wake up if she fell asleep, or passed out. Wouldn't that be just dandy, to die when her family was just in her grasp? Kestrel tightened her grip around Pasha's neck. Even as she tightened it, her grip would feel weaker. "Fou....nd...it....Ma...ster...thr...ew...it...out....ca...use...it...was dir...dir...dirty." Kestrel was speaking through gritted teeth. It was taking a lot of effort and energy, just to make the words form. "Ga...ve...it...to...m...me...when...th..ey...to...to...took me...aw...ay. Le...ft...it...with....him." Kestrel was looking at the world through half-closed eyes. This girl seemed to be a fighter at heart. She was doing everything in her power to stay awake. Awake and alive.

“I understand,” Pasha said. It was painfully to listen to the girl speak. She sounded bad, she was tired and fading fast. Sleep would probably do her some good, but only after she had been patched up and given the okay by some one with some medical knowledge. That person wasn't him.
He looked about but did not see someone like that. He didn't want to carry her any more either. He could feel her trying to tighten her grip around his neck and not being able to do it. He would rather set her down than have her fall off his back so he did just that. Gently he lay her down in the first spot he could find that would be alright to sit on.
“You're doing really well for the way you look,” he said only realizing that what he said was not exactly a compliment after he said it. He didn't know much first aid but he did know that she shouldn't still be bleeding. It was hard for him to tell but he thought her bullet wound had slowed at least. He thought that was a good sign, a bullet wound didn't seem like something that would simply stop bleeding. “Just how are you doing?” he asked not sure what else there was for him to say.

Kestrel was happy he'd set her down. It was nicer on the soft grass than on his back. She knew the cuts on her back had stopped bleeding for the most part and that the cuts on her legs, which were the freshest wounds, still were. The bullet wound was also still bleeding. But she wasn't exactly sure if that was normal or not. She'd never been shot before. It certainly hurt. Pain radiated from it regularly, a constant reminder. Kestrel looked up at Pasha. He'd been a big help...but he wasn't exactly the smoothest talker, now was he? Then again, few slaves were very articulate. "Hu...rts." See? Who needs big, expressive words? Better to keep these things simple.

“I would think so,” he said trying to lighten up the mood and not doing a very good job. He looked about, they were in camp now but there was no one near by. Why was that? The one time he really needed everyone to crowed about him and there wasn't a person to be seen around the camp at all. “Wait here,” he told her not really thinking what he had said through, “I'm going to see if I can find someone to help up out.”
Without waiting for her to say anything in response he sprinted off. He would have to find someone quickly. He knew that he could, the camp was crawling with people normally. Sadie was not normally hard to find and she would be the most helpful.

Kestrel stayed on the grass. Where else could she go? She couldn't sit up on her own. Much less stand up and walk around. Heck, Kestrel wasn't even sure if she could even crawl. The pain had sort of ebbed away, which she presumed was a bad sign. A few moments before when she was being carried by Pasha it had been extremely painful. Now it was just sort of...distant. And she felt tired. Like the remaining blood in her veins was lead. Her eyes kept slipping closed, despite her mind's weak protests to keep them wide open. Kestrel also noticed she was breathing slowly and deeply without really trying.
Is this what dying feels like? Going to sleep? Kestrel wondered. That thought forced her mind to be alert. She started doing what she could, just to stay awake. Moving her hands a bit, wiggling her toes, holding her breath for a few seconds. Lucifer was here. She was so close to seeing her family again! She couldn't die now!
((Hm...should I bring Nahi in, or do we want to wait on Sadie? And I could always bring Lucifer in and have him freak. XD))

Pasha quickly darted through the camp. He wasn't about the shout yet. He would check Sadie's tent to see if she was there and if she wasn't he would look for Nahi. No one would think anything of him looking for the black haired woman. He didn't want to draw attention to himself yet, he didn't want Lucifer to find out that his sister was hurt. He would rather have her at least somewhat taken care of before he told him that he had found her. It would be best that way he knew.
Pasha did his best to not look too distraught. There was no reason to draw too much attention to himself yet. “Sadie? Are you there?” he called out as he drew closer.
((OOC: Blah, sorry that isn't so good.))
