Pasha beamed like a small child when she thanked him. Perhaps he had a chance with her. She was pretty and sweet and she didn't seem to have her eyes on anyone else is camp. What harm could there be in trying to court her. He wasn't getting any younger and he wanted to have a family before he was an old man.
Nahi gave no warning before she started down the path. Luckily Pasha had been ready for her to keep going and so he managed to follow after her quickly and without looking like a slow witted school boy. The path didn't last much longer though, a few steps away it dipped down a slope. His dark haired crush skillfully made her way down the slope. It looked like it was no trouble for her to go down gracefully. She certainly showed that she had grown up in these woods.
It was not so easy for Pasha however. The slope was not so steep that he needed to go down it on all fours but that did not mean he didn't find it steep. Carefully he put one foot ahead of the other. He was rather proud of the fact he did not trip or stumble at all on his way down. He quickly came to Nahi's side and looked over the plants. There were certainly a lot of them. “Just what are we looking for?” he asked.

"Purple berries. They help a great deal with high fevers." Nahi replied, wading through the bushes and shrubs. "Just be careful. There are a few thorn bushes here." She was grateful she actually had some help for once. Pasha seemed like a very nice person. He could turn out to be a good friend. And he seemed...interested in her. Sure he wasn't exactly Prince Charming. In fact, he was clumsy and a bit gawky. But at the end of the day it was the heart that counted. Not the appearance or the social skills.
Nahi soon found what she was looking for. She began to pick a few and set them in her basket. "Be careful not to pick too many, Pasha. If we do there will be no more when spring comes again."

Pasha gave a nod when she told him that the purple berries were the ones that needed to be picked. That seemed like a simple enough job. She warned him to mind the brambles and the thorns on some of the bushes. He gave a second nod to show that he had heard what she had said. He had already figured that he was going to get himself pricked, that sort of thing was practically unavoidable.
“How much is too much?” he asked as he knelt down next to one bush and rummaged through it's branches looking for what he thought were the ripest berries. He wondered how long it had taken Nahi so learn everything that she knew. It would have been hard enough for him to keep track of all the plants and what they did but adding in how much was too much to pick and little things like that made the task seem impossible to learn.

Nahi began to wade through the bushes. She looked down to see the prickling, low-growing thorn bushes. The young woman stepped over them lightly and began to pluck a few ripe purple berries off of one of the bushes. "From the looks of the number here...when the basket is a third of the way full, we should move on to the next patch." This was why it took her all day to gather herbs. She could not take too much from one spot, so she had to ration how much she collected from one area. This caused her to skirt from one area to the next, sometimes leading her deep into the forest.

Pasha gathered a good handful from the bush he was working at. He didn't really have a basket to put his gatherings in he noted. That was no problem for him though, with a small shrug to himself walked over and placed them into Nahi's basket. “I think it would be best for me to work a touch closer,” he said settling down at the bush next to her so that he was near the basket.
It was peaceful out here in the woods, he could hear the birds and listen to the relative silence. That put him at ease. Still he felt awkward being right next to someone and not talking with them. Not knowing if Nahi wanted to keep quiet he deiced to not ask anymore questions. He didn't want to seem like the sort who couldn't stop talking, besides that he figured that she would say something if she wanted to talk.
((OOC: is there anything you want to have them do? Or is just talking alright?))

((Yup. That's fine. ^^))
Nahi nodded once, smiling a little. It was like being able to collect herbs with her mother and father again. But since their joints began to trouble them they mostly stayed in their simple house and occasionally went on walks. Or, if the Post was very active, they would help Nahi and Sadie with patients. Her mother was the one that taught her everything she knew, after all! And her father simply did what he could. Nahi continued to gather berries. After a while of listening to the birds and the sound of the two of them rustling through the bushes, Nahi spoke. "I love being out here. It is peaceful, no?"

“It's very peaceful,” Pasha agreed, a little surprised by hearing Nahi speak. He had started to grow use to the silence. Normally he would have been a bit more alert but he felt very much at peace now. He didn't have to worry about some bounty hunter coming by and snagging him for being a runaway, and that was a nice feeling. “It kind of makes me want to take a nap,” he grinned before doing a large, very fake and cheesey, yawn, “I was up far to early for my tastes. It was worth it though.”
Pasha worked as quickly as he could manage to while still doing a good job. “What are we doing after this?” he wondered aloud. He was always thinking about what he would do next, even though others might not even be sure what they were doing right now he wanted to know what would happen next.
