"Jarvis, I'll be home later... If anyone comes by take their order. And if Mr. Davis comes by tell him that the mirror won't be done until tomorrow," Called an eye-catching fox as she shut the door to her house with one paw. She used a key to lock it before pocketing the key and heading down the street at a fairly rapid pace. She wasn't running by any means, but she was speed walking one could say, her black, dainty paws clicking quietly against the road.
At least the weather was nice… That was the only thing that Mischa could really focus on. Her mind was too busy picking apart the bad things of the morning. As a general rule, the pretty Red Fox was a more positive and happy lady, but not today. She’d been woken early by her human because he was feeling sick. That meant she’d had to work in the forge along for the morning, which was never fun when she was making something heavy, she was far from weak but enjoyed having her strong human as help. That was what he was, help. He was not a slave, and that was why she didn’t force him to work that morning, she wanted him to rest up and feel better. If it was only that though, Mischa wouldn’t have been all that grumpy, but to add onto it she’d burnt her right forearm and had to wake Jarvis to wrap it for her. Then she realized her cousin’s birthday was coming up… In three days. Her cousin lived on Mt. Cinder so she had to get the present as soon as possible and hope if was shipped in time, or Shensi would have an absolute fit. And Shensi’s fits were never a fun thing to deal with. And it wasn’t even noon yet…It was going to be a rough day…
At least the weather is nice… She muttered under her breath, dusting the soot from her colourful fur. At least that was one bonus to having what her parents had called, a ‘silver morph’, the soot tended to not be noticeable against the black and silver coloration, just the rusty areas. That was until she sneezed or waved a paw and had it ‘puff’ into the air. She grumbled under her breath self consciously. She looked a mess, she hadn’t really stopped to clean up after working, wanting to get the present into the mail as soon as possible. She’d given herself a quick dusting but still held the scent of soot and simply threw a baggy, singed tan-colored sweater. She raised her black paw and swatted her ears, ridding her fur of more soot as she walked quietly along the mostly empty streets. She was still new to Reveerie, having only moved from Mt. Cinder recently but was fairly good at not getting lost. At least… She hadn’t gotten lost yet.
“If I was Shensi, what would I want for my birthday…?” Mischa purred under her breath, eyeing the shops she passed with her liquid brown eyes. Shensi was a character… One never knew what to get the girl…Where Mischa was modest and didn’t think too much of her looks, Shensi was constantly primping and brushing. Where Mischa was calm and collected (unless you hit her temper), Shensi was snappy, loud and sassy. Mischa knew Shensi would want something different, unique and most likely expensive. That wasn’t exactly a helpful thought and Mischa sat down on a bench, scratching the back of her pierced ear with one rough paw. “I really should have picked an idea before leaving the Forge…” She mumbled under her breath. There was no point walking around all day, she would figure out what she needed and then go for a search.
