Okay, made a new board. We are kind of lagging in the whole community sense. It was time we had a board people aren't afraid to post random things in.
Okay, so this happened around 4 or 5 years ago. I was like in 10th grade. I decided to stay over at my friends house for the night. She lives just across the street, or did at the time, so we often just walked back and forth continuously throughout the day.
On this particular night, I made the foolish mistake of leaving various items I needed for my stay. I had forgotten my toothbrush and most importantly my contact case. At the time I never slept with contacts in because I heard that it's bad. Nowadays, I sleep with them in and leave them in weeks...months. The pair I have in now have been in for like 2 or 3 months.
Anyway, it was really late. After midnight. And I decided we'd just walk back over and get my things. Tried the front door and it was locked and of course I didn't have my key on me. So, my friend and I walked around back and I tried to open the door. There was something in front of it so I had a hard time opening it without making noise. That and it was SQUEAKY.
Suddenly I heard my mom whisper something and my dad, half-asleep, ran like the house was on fire and slammed the door shut as I was walking inside. The door whacked me in the face on the left side, my cheek and jaw especially. Come to find out my mom had said I was coming in the house and he mistook what she said and thought someone was breaking in.
So, yes. I am almost certain that is what triggered my jaw to act up. And caused the TMJ. Because, it wasn't too long after that I started getting a lot of pain on my left side that I thought was an ear ache. The doctor I went to said it was most likely TMJ because he could feel a clicking on the left side. That and if I open my mouth all the way up my jaw will swing slightly to the right because it's a bit messed up. -_-
The end.
XD Yeah, so the story I find hilarious now. My friend thinks it was funny, but then it wasn't. It hurt having a father slam you in a door.
